These annual awards are presented to non-board members, Club Rotarians who have exemplified the "Service Above Self" motto by exhibiting outstanding volunteer service and commitment to the Bloomington-Normal Sunrise Club. The Rotarian of the Year, and the New Rotarian of the Year, who are chosen by the Club President and President-elect, are then eligible for the "District Rotarian of the Year" competition.
