At the Annual Conference

Ann Harding inspired others with a presentation about the Easter Seals/Rotary Lodge project.

Two day conference featured several important speakers including
Zelma Harris, President of Parkland College and Champaign Rotarian,
Ed Widmer, United Nations Association of Illinois,
Janice Del Negro, Director of the Center for Children's Books, U of I,
and Marianna Tax Choldin, Mortenson Professor at the U of I Library speaking on "World Peace through Access to Information".

Break out sessions included

  • GSE and Ambassadorial Scholars
  • Youth Involvement in Rotary
  • Club Collaboration on community service
  • Community Needs Assessment, and
  • Community involvement in schools

A Banner Coat
Barb Copenhaver was impressed with a former District Governor Wes Rush's fashion sense. His coat was created for him by his wife from flags he has collected in his travels.
