International Service 2000-2001

A Year in Review

Our club, in a joint effort with the Bloomington and Normal clubs, hosted the German GSE team during the Summer of 2001. Assisting with the scheduling, coordinating and hosting of activities during their stay in Bloomington, Sunrise members Jim Waldorf, Brett Arseneault, Charmaine West, Ann Harding, Harry Sutter and Pam Eaton accompanied the team members on visits to local sites, includingThe McLean County Arts Center, The McLean County Musuem of History and the David Davis Mansion.

Our club chose not to participate in the student exchange program for 2000-2001. and is considering participating for the 2001-2002 year. The difficulty in obtaining host families has caused us to more carefully examine our capability of hosting students in the future.

A Paul Harris Fellow award was presented to outgoing club president Ann Harding.
